Overview

What is DU LLB Law Entrance?

DU LLB entrance exam is conducted by the Delhi University for getting admissions to 3 year LLB. The exam is held in a pen-paper-mode test in three languages of English, Hindi. There are total 480 LLB seats offered through the law entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria DU LLB 2025

  • Candidates should have a Degree of Bachelors or master’s degree in any discipline from the Delhi University or any other University that is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and Delhi University.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Backward Class/ Persons with Disability have been given 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks. They need to have 40% marks in their qualifying degree.

Application Form of DU LLB 2025

Delhi University has released application form in online mode tentatively on June 1, 2025. The application form can be filled out by the candidates who meet the given eligibility criteria for the 3-year LLB program. While filling out the application form, one should use only genuine and factual information, because details will be verified during the counseling process. If any candidate found to be forging information would be disqualified.

Steps to fill the DU LLB 2025 application form

  • Click on admission link on the admission portal.
  • A registration form will open
  • Complete registration process by entering details like name, email id, mobile number, graduation registration number, etc.
  • After completing registration process, log in to the newly created account and fill in the personal, academic, and contact details.
  • Next, pay the application fee. The fee can be paid in

  • Off Line Mode : download the e-challan from the admission portal and pay the fee at a nearby SBI branch.
  • Finally, upload essential documents like photographs and signature in the prescribed format and then submit the application form.

Syllabus of DU LLB 2025 Entrance Test

While preparing for the exam, the candidate must strictly follow the syllabus given for the entrance exam. It is because questions in the exam will be asked from the topics that are given in the DU LLB 2024 syllabus. But be careful to refer to the syllabus for the current academic session only, and not to use the previous syllabus. More often than not, some changes are done to the syllabus every year, like topics may be dropped and in their place, new topics may be included.

Pattern of DU LLB Exam 2025

Exam pattern is an extension of the syllabus in that it will explain the kinds of questions asked, marking scheme, exam duration, and such other things. The candidate needs to be familiar with the DU LLB 2024 exam pattern to be able to properly attempt the question paper.

Admit Card of DU LLB 2024

Candidates who successfully fill in the application form will only be issued admit cards, which is a necessary document for sitting in the entrance exam. The Admit Card will contain exam information like the date and time of the exams, roll number, and the name and address of the provided exam center. The candidate will have to download the admit card by entering candidate information. On the day of exam, the candidate has to bring with them a valid photo id proof with the admit card.

Steps for downloading the admit card for DU LLB 2025

  • 1. Click on admit card download tab
  • 2. A log-in window will open
  • 3. Enter login ID and password in it.
  • 4. On log-in, the admit card will get displayed in downloadable pdf format
  • 5. Download and take the printout.
  • Note: In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, the candidate has to get in touch with the exam officials and get it rectified as early as possible.

Guidelines of DU LLB 2024 Exam Day

Exam will be held in offline mode at Chandigarh centre only. Candidates appearing for law entrance exam should be careful of following things:
  • Candidates should reach the test center at least an hour before the exam so that exam officials can check the admit cards and other necessary documents.
  • Candidates should keep their own pen i.e. black ink gel pen and an HB pencil to mark answers on the OMR sheet.
  • Also, taking mobile phones, Bluetooth device or any other equipment is not allowed in the examination, if candidates will bring such items then he/she will be disqualified from the exam.
  • Candidates must follow the guidelines of the exam center officials while taking the exam.

Answer Key of DU LLB 2025

Official answer keys of DU LLB 2024 will be released within a few days of the conduct of the entrance exam. It will contain the answers to all the 120 questions asked in the exam and can be used by the candidate to calculate scores. The institute will first release a provisional key that can be challenged by the candidates. The final key will be released after taking the student feedback.

Result of DU LLB 2025

Delhi University will declare the results of the DU LLB 2025 entrance exam within weeks of the conduct of the exam. The results would be declared at the university website and have to be downloaded by the candidate. The results of the DU LLB 2025 exam will include details like the name and roll number of the candidates, sectional and overall scores, rank, and the provisional qualifying status.

DU LLB results would be prepared by giving:

  • 50% weightage to marks scored in the DU LLB 2025 entrance exam
  • 50% weightage to marks obtained in the qualifying exam.

Way to check DU LLB 2025 results

  • 1. Click on the result link
  • 2. In the log-in window that opens, enter your login id and password
  • 3. The result would be displayed.
  • 4. Download and take a printout of the result.

Counselling of DU LLB 2025

Delhi University will conduct the counselling of DU LLB 2025. Candidates who are included in the merit list will be eligible for counselling process and have to attend the counselling venue in person as per the given schedule. The DU LLB 2025 counselling include steps to document verification. Candidates whose verification process is unsuccessful will no longer be conducted for admission in the next round. The seat allotment will be based on the merit rank of the candidate.
